Pastel Tinted Clouds, Half Plate Dag

A previous owner of these adorable kids decided to clean the half plate daguerreotype and not only did he remove whatever tarnish was on the surface he also diminished the once grand color scheme that was applied by the unknown operator. Never the less, when the next collector opens the repaired leather case, he or she will thank me for offering the children?s daguerreotype for sale. Each sibling was neatly attired and they watched the cameraman perform his task to capture them on his perfectly produced mirror that has excellent reflectance. Aside from small mat scrapes and circles of oxidation reforming inside the brass surround the portrait is still remarkable.
