….carpenter!  I feel like he wanted to show off all that he could create while proudly clutching his most frequently used large plane and trusty hammer!  If the plate wasn’t tarnished perfectly around the edges, his trusty folding blade would be more visible. He surely opened and presented as such to make it stand out. Maybe it means that he was showing he could complete any carpentry task from whittling wood with knife top to making fine furniture? I do wish more dags showed these mens pants.  When they do appear they often are patterned with designs seldom seen today. More so in the bohemian era of the 1960s and 70s or at a Phish show or similar nowadays. By this time pocket watches were becoming more favorable.  Often evidenced by a small length of hanging chain leading from a button on the vest, shirt or jacket that led to the timepiece held in a small pocket. His has been accented with gold tint; his cheeks lightly blushed with red. These hand applied colors I imagine were a fee added after the fact or perhaps included in the price as a means to justify a price. The condition is great overall and he is held in a nice case with a split spine.
