I just love his look, don’t you? In person, this quarter plate dag shimmers with different colors when you tilt it different ways. I couldn’t replicated it in the scan, of course. Glued on the case pad is an ID: “F.M. Duncan. 3 May 1852.” The dag is an odd one; it’s not in focus, but then at other angles it seems like it is. The image is resealed and comes in a whole case. It’s in very good condition with some little mold spiders and edge tarnish.
