“POLLOCK . . . Balt” was stamped in opposite corners of the subject?s resealed ninth plate daguerreotype. His close-up likeness nearly filled the oval mat. Tinting was added to his determined face. Pollock operated a gallery in the city circa 1848-1860. This fellow’s leather case is separated.
