The young parents decided to splurge and hire a competent daguerreotypist to construct their newly taped quarter plate portrait that has a fine worn leather case with a split hinge. Embossed in the center of the otherwise unmarked pebbled cover were two roses. Mother didn’t have any problem keeping their somnolent child still. The little one was out like a light and completely oblivious to the whispering cameraman who instructed dad to place one arm behind his wife. If only they would have leaned towards each other. Oh well, I can’t have that type of artistic perfection after the fact I guess. While heavy patina does encroach upon the threesome, when the case cover is lifted the next owner will marvel at the richness and holographic depth reflected back from the finely polished silver. Those white dots are barely visible. Pale red rouge was painted on each of their faces.
