WARY COUPLE. So many folks just didn’t know what to make of the daguerreotype process, even c1850, when this quarter plate dag was made. It’s a nice one, in fine condition. Both figures more or less glow within the mat. They each surely wear their Sunday best clothes and she added her paisley shawl. Perhaps there was a chill in the air? Their faces bear the lightest color. The resealed image comes in a whole case.
