And the information continues written on both sides of a folded paper kept in the bottom of her complete sixth sized leather case. (See scans of her information). Mrs. Clarke has been retaped and the condition is fantastic! Then read the third scan containing data on “Charles Francis Clarke”. He was taken on a ninth plate ambrotype October 1860, penciled in the bottom of his leather case without a cover. Etched in the surface of his portrait was “Charley Clark” and “Castine”. Finally, I have reproduced a small sampler, approximately 7 inches x 17 inches that Abigail sewed when she was 13 years old in 1830!
