That was copied from her original canvas onto this archivally restored sixth plate daguerreotype. She appears to have been holding a partially rolled up piece of sheet music. The artist?s use of that drape behind her chair and the top of the wooden Wainscot helped balance the painting. A heavy concentration of mold spiders is on her hand and the paper. A few smaller ones are elsewhere. Ancient patina fills the perimeter. Those white dots are hard to see. A complete leather case has an old leather hinge repair. A large sticker had been placed inside on the red silk pad and left residue.
