A drop-dead handsome teenager stood full length on a gaily tinted striped carpet next to a small wooden chair. As part of the composition the maker decided to place an equally tiny table topped by a blue colored cloth in the lower left corner. The resealed sixth plate is kept in a fine complete leather case. This daguerreotype shows composition that was basically unique in the entire era of portraiture in the 1850s.
