An artist bravely ventured out into a bayou in a flat bottom boat, looking for peepers and came across this chubby child clutching a feral cat. The rest is history folks, the painter placed what was seen on canvas and his rendering was so popular that an unknown daguerreian copied it onto this resealed sixth plate daguerreotype. The repaired plastic case is intact.
