Every Hair in Place, Sixth Plate

For a brief instant while the daguerreotypist counted off the seconds of the exposure, his young client moved his head. The resealed sixth plate presented the neatly groomed teenager inside a full leather case that had a paper spine repair. I suspect he wore his best clothes for this formal rendering. There is deeply reflected depth and broad tarnish inside the oval opening. There are two teeny mat scrapes lower right and a pair of small silver spots at the bottom of that impressive vest.
