J.S. Keely’s Home in Moorsesvilly, IN, Sixth Plate Dag

MOORESVILLE, INDIANA. This sixth plate dag features the home of J. S. Keely of Mooresville, Indiana. That information and a little bit more is written in pencil on a piece of paper resting on the case pad. I tried a find the house, to see if it?s still standing, but had no luck. It certainly looks pretty sturdy though! The approximate date of the dag, 1850, could be the date the home was built too. Something quirky about the dag is that there are lighting rods on each chimney but they are only visible in the negative. As you can see, the sky is nearly solarized bright blue. The dag is resealed and in fine condition. It comes in a case with a repaired spine.
