This brother/sister portrait is very lovely. The kids’ parents took them to a very good daguerreotypist to have their quarter plate image made. Their freckled cheeks are lightly tinted, as is the long chain the girl wears. The boy’s tunic appears to have been made of a shiny fabric. I like the pattern of the girl’s dress. The resealed image is in fine condition and comes in a whole case with repaired spine.
